If you’ve ever met me than you know I’m a little bit of a hippy and LOVE clothing.  Especially dresses.  However, when I was getting married a few years ago I found it really hard to find my dream wedding dress.  There are so many amazing designers out there but I didn’t really know about any of them.  And google wasn’t really helping me out.  Now after years of being a professional photographer in the wedding industry I have discovered so many brilliant dresses and I wanted to share a few of my favourites.  Hopefully you find “the dress” and hopefully its full on bohemian and hopefully you choose me to photograph it 😉

Reclamation

I wish I would have known about this company when I got married.  Not only are they insanely stunning but they are also made in Canada!  WHAT?!!  I love supporting other Canadian companies.  The cool thing about these dresses is a lot of them can be worn by different size women, therefore, making it much easier to wear again and again and again.

Grace Loves Lace

This company is actually who I ended up getting my wedding dress made by.  They are Australian and they custom make every dress!  I was super pregnant at the time when I should have been shopping for my wedding gown so I was pretty limited to what would work.  I also had no idea what my body was going to look like right after having a baby.  Talk about stressful.  I didn’t want to spend a ton of cash on something that looked terrible on me or I had to starve myself to be able to fit into by the time my wedding day came around.  So why did I choose Grace Loves Lace?  Well, a lot of their dresses easily slip on and are flexible on sizing.  So not only is your wedding dress hella comfortable but it’s also super forgiving if you gain or loose a few pounds before the big day.  So this pregnant mamma found herself a match made in heaven.  They even were able to do a rush order so I could wait until after my baby was born to send in my measurements.  I can’t recommend them enough!  So here I am on my wedding day feeling like an absolute dream!

Rue de Seine

The detail in these dresses are insane!  The lace and styles are so bold.  If you are looking for a statement piece this is it.  These dresses are stunning! Their last big reveal were all western style pieces mixed with lace and boho. Think of if as boho meets cowgirl. Like I said they have bold ideas and pieces. But if that doesn’t tickle your fancy they always have their standard classic collection to choose from.

Spell and the Gypsy Collective

Another Australian brand as Australians love their bohemian culture and clothing.  I actually lived in Byron Bay for awhile and frequented their shop to drool over their clothing. They also carry beautiful everyday dresses and I’ve always been a massive fan.  They have grown in popularity and the brand can also be found at Free People.

Daughters of Simone

This is a sister duo so you can feel good about buying from an actual person and not a massive brand. They were inspired to create their dresses by their artistic mother and free spirited childhood. Below is my favourite dress in their current collection.

Flutter Dresses

Now this is fun bohemian dress company that is a little easier on the wallet and is still beautiful! If you love what you see you can also rent them for photoshoots (hint hint – if you’re ever looking for a fun and unique session lets do it!). They have a wide variety of styles and colours if you’re really looking for something unique.

So there you have it. My favourite bohemian wedding dresses. I hope you love them all as much as I do.
